The ICEM World Conference for the Pulp and Paper Industry, which takes place every four years, focused on the following topics:

The Conference was attended by 65 trade union representatives from 17 countries (Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United States, and Uruguay).
