ICEM Global Framework Agreement with Endesa

The ICEM and Endesa SA signed a Global Agreement in Madrid, Spain, on 25 January 2002. Spanish affiliates Federacion de Industrias Afines (FIA-UGT) and Federacion Mineralometalurgiva de Comisones Obreras (FM CC.OO) are party to the agreement with one of the world's largest private electrical groups. Compliance with ILO Conventions on labour standards, including the right to organize, and the strictest respect for standards and required behaviour in safety, health and the prevention of occupational hazards are contained in the agreement, as is establishing a channel of dialogue between trade unionists and company officials at the highest organizational level.
