ICEM Global Framework Agreement with Eni

The ICEM and Eni, an Italian energy multinational, signed a Global Agreement on 29 November 2002 in front of 300 trade union delegates at the global union federation's Energy Conference in Rome. The agreement also includes the Italian affiliates FEMCA-CISL, Federazione Lavoratroi Chimici E Affini Italiana (FILCEA CGIL) and Unione Italiana Lavoratori Chemica Energia Manifatturiero (UILCEM-UIL). Eni acknowledges the Guiding Principles of the UN's Universal Declaration on Human Rights, and trade union rights encompassed in ILO Conventions. The agreement, covering 70,000 workers in 67 countries, has an annual review process.
